Darlene and I had discussed getting together when I came to Tucson this time. My travel times kept being rearranged but fortunately it worked out. Monday Farm Boss and I drove to her lovely home and enjoyed her hospitality, a nice cup of coffee, and some good conversation.
Darlene is as charming, intelligent, and warm as I'd expected her to be which definitely validates my belief that we can form internet friendships which are no different than real when we actually meet. I would say more about it, but, I think, the photos say it all.

You know, Rain, we had a bloggers lunch in Mumbai in December 2008, where no one knew how anyone else looked (except for one), and we thought that was great. But this beats it all. Travelling to other states and meeting blogging friends is , simply, fantastic. The photos are wonderful, your pleasure at meeting each other just shines through....
You're right, Rain. The photos say it all. Meeting blog friends always feels to me like well, you just haven't seen each other for awhile.

I've been able to meet in person with two bloggers from Whidbey Island which isn't all that far from where I live, and it was fun. We have talked about doing it again but so far it hasn't worked out.
Actually Farm Boss enjoyed the conversation also. He didn't stay the whole time as he had some business calls to make but he stayed longer than he had planned because he enjoyed her company.

I haven't had the delight of meeting blogging friends (but I'd LOVE to remedy that) but I've met other online friends and it's an awesome experience.

I have an anonymous commenter who, instead of words, the message comes in tiny blocks with numbers and letters in each one. Anybody have any idea what those mean and why this is coming that way? I assumed it was a virus and deleted it twice but now wonder if it's trying to translate but I don't have a translation link on my blog. I keep my blog to a bare minimum alongside; so that I have room for the photos I use and won't block dial-up readers from enjoying the site. I have had dial-up again recently (dish went out) and when someone has much in the side-bar, I can't get their site to come in by any reasonable length of time and have to skip them. So what are the little boxes?

I've been fortunate to meet many blogging friends and the thing that always amazes me, but really shouldn't, is HOW much they are identical in person as they are on their blog.
