by Diane: Update of art escape #10: Enjoying the struggle framed

Feeling satisfaction in my framed painting of disturbed air in the swallow's flight path. It was a challenge requiring many trials painting ove ezch bird over and over.

But next week back to a simpler process.

I continue to observe.  The angles of the wings and tail as they change from wing movements to gain altitude then swooping in holding wings outright only changing axis of the body as they travel a curved flight downward.

Perhaps finished! I didn't intend to get so engrossed so much so that I might not be attentive to my husband's needs. Just as I thought he was doing better, balance and and breathing are concerns.

Love the colors and tones in this. So green and fresh.

Does he have a walker? Seems like a good idea with balance issues as that keeps him mobile and not like you can be there all the time or you will get sick. A visiting nurse would be a good option also and give you the break you need. There are several services.

Rain,
It has been awhile since he mentioned a walker. But today is a good day for hubby and I to talk.
Tabor,
Thanks color was an important consideration. I painted on a ground that was tinted with quinactecrome gold. Also difficult was working in a narrow value range from darkest dark to lightest light. Difficult in painting layer over layer with acrylics because they usually dry darker when they are completely dry.

A walker could be important as falling is a big danger to seniors.
