summertime

With this and that coming up, my schedule for posting here will be a lot looser-- mostly once or maybe twice a week as I end up doing things or going places that are not so easy to get online. I didn't want anyone to wonder as I know I do when someone I read regularly suddenly isn't there.

Summertime and the living' is easy... yeah right!

Oh and in this picture, taken June 30th, in case you wondered, I am not dying my hair, nor did I alter the photo; it's just the way the summer sun lit it. This is my new hat. Errr have I mentioned I have a thing for straw hats? Well, if I haven't, I should. They are theoretically bought to keep the sun off my face-- theoretically...

Have a great time doing this and that. LOVE the hair color...people pay to get that exact shade!
And the hat....tres chic, Rain. Very becoming!
Thanks for letting us know about your limited blog time right now because I do the same and get worried when people don't regularly "appear."

I love the hat...and you have such pretty hair Rain. The sun just makes it moreso. We'll be watching for your posts...thanks for the tip.

What a great photo! Love the lighting and the affect. Summer has begun here too. Lots of stuff to do, and much less time for blogging. I'll check back in often, and look forward to updates.

The lighting--and you--are magnificent. Yeah, I know--you say the straw hats keep the sun off theoretically--maybe just a little fetish thrown in, too? Like me and my white nightgowns? I also wear a lot of straw hats.

Whatever you are going off to do, have a wonderful and safe time doing it.

Rain you look better with each passing day ! :)

Nice hat! And the angle of the sun accentuates your natural glow...

Whatever you'll be up to, enjoy. We'll be right here watching for you to pass through.

That hat looks wonderful! I often wonder why people just stop blogging as well. I'm so glad that you took the time to tell us. I do go sometimes but I only go for a couple day's and then I'm back to blogging. :) If it's longer then two days I warn everyone on my blog. Anyway, that is an awsome hat. I've always wanted a hat like that. Where'd you get it?

Thanks everyone for the comments. The hat came from REI and they had a lot of them. :)

Great look, Rain -- both the hair & the hat! You are so gorgeous!

I love hats and I get teased because I'm one of the few women who still wear them to Mass. My fav is wide brimmed black straw with a ribbon band & a big white flower!

Hope you have a great time and pop by to see us as often as possible!

Great hat, Rain! I do love hats. I can't wear them in the summer as my head gets SO hot. Even my hair heats me up too much if I don't put it in braids or puppy dog tails! (You look great as a red head, too).

I like the hat and the photo. I'd like to see a little more light reflected back into the shadow side as this is a great example of how photography can't handle the wide difference between dark & light that our eye/brain combination can see. Maybe a little playing with Photoshop.

I got my wireless connection setup today on the new laptop so should be in good shape for connecting next week while on the road. Now as long as I can find enough time!
