FIRST COMFORT FEAST
Can a spirit ride on a song bird's wing?
Looking through the glass as we dine.
Then flying towards the dry bird bath
only to quickly return longer
tapping the window with wing admonishing us.
A new ceramic bird bath filled
in honor of his caring spirit.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I send you my sympathy. I recall an event after my husband’s death in 2006 which seemed symbolic so perhaps there’s much to be said for your bird’s significance. I wish you peace and comfort.
