Lan Su Chinese Garden

Sunday we went with two of our grandchildren to Portland's Lan Su Chinese Gardens (classical Chinese gardens). If you have not been there and visit Portland, I consider it one of those must see locations. It is one full luxurious block of examples of Chinese garden design. Fascinating for all ages with beautiful vignettes and ideas for our own gardens.

The garden is a treasure of beauty - a cosmos in a small area.

I don't remember this from when we lived in Portland. It looks fascinating. We're not getting down your way on this mainland visit but will certainly look at this garden next time we are there.

What a beautiful place. When I get a few days of freedom I want to visit Portland for many reasons, and now this is one of them.

Being a member of the Japanese Garden, I get frequent discounts and "free" days to the Chinese Garden, and I haven't been, yet. Sheesh... I'm a dope. I gotta go sooner than later.

I'll have to check that garden out next time I'm in Portland, but it's not going to be this year. Trying to catch up on some blog posts. I won't be commenting on the political posts merely because I've decided to ignore everything as best I can. Such dirty business.

Everyone has to do what is best for their own health first and foremost. I only hope if a lot of liberal minded folks tune out because it's too nasty for them that equal numbers will be doing the same on the right. The alternative of having what McConnell believes he will get-- control of the Senate with the House already in right wing hands and the Presidency equal odds it will too, we won't know this country by the time they get through. Bush made a good stab at it but it's not all they want.
