writing what comes

by Rain Trueax

Some of you, if you have been with this blog long enough, know about my newest exploration of the 'other' side, the Hemstreet Witches based in Arizona. Those books have been exploring what might be for powers, as well as what is unseen by most of us. They are as much metaphysical as they are paranormal. Is it possible that some are born with insights and power to see beyond the physical reality? I write these stories because I think life is not that firm for "What Is".

At one time, we thought humans were solid, flesh and blood, then we learned about atoms and energy. Some think we are only part of a greater spiritual whole. What is the reality of our world?

Might reincarnation explain memories some of us have, which don't seem to be part of this lifetime, and also how life is fairer than it looks-- karma. There is the potential not only to make mistakes and pay for them but also to learn from them and grow stronger in the next life.

For all my many years, I have been a collector of stories, listened to those who say they see ghosts, monsters, remember past lives. I have found such experiences fascinating but also what, for me, adds to the wonder-- what is this all about? Mostly, I don't try to get answers but settle for observing.

The Hemstreet witches are 'white' witches, who use their magick only for good. Despite recently, some witches claiming they will cast a spell on first Trump and then Kavanaugh, most witches believe in the power of three.
The Rule of Three (also Three-fold Law or Law of Return) is a religious tenet held by some Wiccans/Pagans and occultists. It states that whatever energy a person puts out into the world, be it positive or negative, will be returned to that person three times.
There are a LOT of books out there on witchcraft and also fictional books with witches as their heroines. Despite that, I think that the very name witch scares off some possible readers. my books have had very little acceptance by readers-- not gory and hence don't satisfy paranormal readers-- maybe not something a contemporary reader wants. I think I will call them contemporaries and have the paranormal aspect be just that-- an aspect.

At any rate, I am writing this blog as an example of what sometimes a writer does-- write what the Muse has given them. Two years ago, when we drove through Barrio Viejo, a Tucson neighborhood, with history, beauty and spiritual elements like El Tiradito, I knew it had stories to tell. I am giving it one of them with what will be five books... Although... that fifth book has a title and a cover but is sure taking its time being born.

Links to the four finished books are alongside here with more information on their stories. They are for now only available for Kindles or paperbacks.
