Short post to share the photo from this week-end of the Annular Eclipse from what we could see south of the ideal location to see the whole ring of fire. We had the safe glasses and an attachment for the camera thanks to having seen the full eclipse a few years back, when it passed right over our farm in Oregon.
The Annular did darken the land briefly but not as much here as maybe north of us. The birds reacted to it as did the leaves on the trees. Looking at it through the glasses, it seemed no different than the moon during its phases-- except this was the sun. I guess the next one will be in South America and a year away.
