With my digging into the fourth Oregon historical, that pretty much means no more Wednesday posts here. I will though be writing one for Saturdays-- for awhile that will be about our recent trip to Eastern Oregon which had a lot of very interesting (to me at least) cultural elements. If you are interested in politics, want to comment yourself, why come on over to Rants. I don't plan to have a regular schedule there but will write when something comes along that I just have to speak about.
If your interest is in writing, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, visit--
There will be not only my own ideas about writing but also some guest bloggers who write and want to tell others about their process and books.
I am still writing as much as ever for blogs but just dividing it more into subject matter for those who find one thing of interest but not another.
Ana River from our recent vacation through Oregon's backcountry
You have too many interesting blogs...I will have to pace myself.
ReplyDeleteyour blog is interesting to me Tabor and you post there probably as often as I post in my different ones.
ReplyDeleteI am really hoping more writers will find it of interest to guest blog on Rain Trueax. I like hearing how people write and what they are trying to do with their books whenever I come across such.
I love your point of view on what is happening in this insane time---But I find I CANNOT watch the news on TV or anywhere else for that matter.
ReplyDeleteI never thought I would live to see the day when I would be comparing the Republicans to The Nazis. But...the Tea Party, which seems to have taken control of the sanity of most Republican leaders who are afraid of losing their jobs, are/is behaving like The Nazis.
I urge you to keep speaking out, dear Rain, but if I don't get over there it is NOT because I don't agree with you---It''s because I find all of this too damn depressing and frightening. Who are these people????
I look forward to reading about your trip, my dear....And....these are lovely pictures!!!
Naomi, you express one reason I wanted to separate these into topical blogs as I don't think we should get upset all the time or constantly feel we need to be bombarded by the drama that some live to create. I write the rants to put them aside and let it go-- except for voting and donating to appropriate causes. It's a very distressing time and we really do have to concentrate on the positive as much as we can.
ReplyDeleteAbout that picture -- wow! Nice.
ReplyDeleteThat river photo is stunning, rain. Truly breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo of the Ana River!
ReplyDeleteAs I told you on my comment another day, I wish I could to know well English to read your books. They look great!
I wonder if it will help when they come out in audio versions, Sonia. That is next on the agenda for Arizona Sunset at least. I had requests for audios when on this trip and it seems a lot of writers are putting them out. I like them for traveling; so can see the value of doing it. It's just one more thing though and first new project will be making Luck of the Draw into a paperback. We opted to do it first of the contemporaries because of its setting in Pendleton and kind of a mix between contemporary and historical since it takes place in 1974. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's at Luck of the Draw
