Comments

If you are not getting very many comments and have your system set to moderate, you might want to check your filters. Occasionally, and it doesn't happen often, I try to comment in someone's blog and it comes back to me as blocked. I am assuming that because my email here is hotmail that it's the problem but the other possibility is that your email is full and it throws back everything. Comment moderation requires notifying us that something is there; so it's where I think this happens most often. It only matters if you like getting comments :)

  1. So who doesn't like comments?

All seems to be fine here. So far.

  2. It wasn't disliking but just I have sometimes commented and had it bounce back to me rejected by someone's email. I assume that's either a filter that doesn't like hotmail or it's an email that is too full. When someone has moderation in place, they are notified in email. They could get it other ways though and okay it, but if it bounces back in email, they won't get it there.

  3. Was it mine? I got yours today. and have not had yours rejected...Yet! but I have had to reject a LOT of spam. OOPS, maybe I DID delete you by accident. Oh if I did I am soooo sorry! did not mean to.

  4. No, it wasn't yours and although it just happened to me with one blog, it has happened before. I have another problem with some servers not liking my system as it comes through Hughes and from satellite which means it doesn't show up regionally. Sometimes Hughes has had other systems ban it based on some spammer operating there. I never take offense but just feel it's a shame I cannot give a positive comment to someone else when I would have liked to do so. If it is Hughes they are rejecting, then there isn't anything I can do about it either. It has been rare but it has also happened once in awhile with a bounce back

  5. There have been a couple of instances when people told me they tried to comment on my blog, but were unable to do so. I don't know how to fix that.

Blog Spot does some really weird things and I can't seem to figure out how to deal with it. For example, on my current blog I clicked on black for the text and it changed it to purple and blue. I spend more time trying to fix this kind of thing than I do writing the blog. Maybe I need a different blog service.

  6. I have tried to comment on a few blogs and sometimes they just never show up. Maybe that is what happened.
