Now we are in the time of waning light, halfway between equinox and solstice. The garden sleeps.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22918248.post-46177513783865491102010-10-31T13:31:30.988-07:002010-10-31T13:31:30.988-07:00celia, I think it's surprising how often what ...celia, I think it's surprising how often what we feel the natural inclination to do is seasonally, astrologically or spiritually backed by a long tradition that we didn't even have to know about to feel the vibes. I had been feeling this desire to rethink a lot of my ideas and clean up my act before I thought wait it's Samhain that there is a natural seasonal reason for my desire now.Rain Trueaxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07994628226501093880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22918248.post-32593807709904896302010-10-31T13:10:21.781-07:002010-10-31T13:10:21.781-07:00I've been thinking about how the dead are hono...I've been thinking about how the dead are honored this time of year and your post was timely! It's kind of amazing the traditions have held on so long even in the commercially altered form (same as Christmas). Many, if not most of us, come from a farming, peasant history in antiquity, mine certainly did. Don't think there's any Celtic or Scandinavian princesses in our hertitage. As a family we've been trying to turn those commercialized events around in a more nature respectful way, at least when we not trying to hibernate.Celiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14485118642482033233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22918248.post-75077128658431129772010-10-31T08:47:49.800-07:002010-10-31T08:47:49.800-07:00this is really cool, I like here!this is really cool, I like here!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22918248.post-56178592593045584102010-10-30T19:42:06.385-07:002010-10-30T19:42:06.385-07:00I loved this -- especially the photos!I loved this -- especially the photos!Kay Dennisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02646717192332313215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22918248.post-30265479967942350272010-10-30T11:52:54.342-07:002010-10-30T11:52:54.342-07:00Love the Samhain posts....delightful!Love the Samhain posts....delightful!mandthttp://adgitadiaries.blog-city.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22918248.post-55617095752152829292010-10-30T10:38:25.815-07:002010-10-30T10:38:25.815-07:00What a lovely informative post, Rain.
